About Me

These are my humble roots. Those that came before me and are now a part of me.  I watch my children play and learn and love and I think of those generations of mothers that are half of all my ancestors.  I can only dream that half of these posts will be about these women, but most will probably focus on their husbands: the farmers, blacksmiths, soldiers, teachers, shopkeepers, preachers.  My desire is for the stories to be known and for new ones to be discovered.  I hope these will reach distant cousins and I hope those closest to me will long to know of their progenitors and gain understanding and love for those that often sacrificed so much.

I'd love to keep this blog updated regularly, but I make no apologies for the haphazard posts.  Maybe someday...
